The project built a 14,000 gross square foot Human Gene & Cell Therapy Facility on Level B of the Center for Health Sciences (CHS) building. The facility consists mainly of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) space, including individual lab rooms and support areas. Strict environmental controls, including HEPA-filtered air, proper air pressure gradients, and humidity control, are required for this type of space. The footprint of the facility falls within the boundaries of the currently vacant space on Level B of the CHS. This space previously served as operating and recovery rooms and have since been vacated and decommissioned. |
