Contractor shall provide all the labor, materials and equipment associated with the refurbishment of student rooms, lounges, corridors, and lobbies in De Neve’s Evergreen and Fir residential buildings. The project will refresh walls, ceiling, and floor finishes in the student rooms and common areas. The student rooms will receive new paint, vinyl plank flooring, base, and hardened wall panels in select areas of high impact. The common areas, including lounges and hallways, will receive new flooring and wall finishes. The work will be divided into two (2) phases: Phase 0 - Preparation of submittals, receipt of University's approval and material procurement. Phase 1 - Evergreen and Fir Buildings perform all work included in project. The University currently anticipates Phase 1 to begin no sooner than June 16, 2025 and to be completed by August 29th 2025. The work will be performed when the building is unoccupied, during summer 2025. Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a Job Order Contract from prequalified bidders are invited for the following work:
The University is seeking to hire a contractor to perform general site work including fencing, hardscape, earthwork, paving, ornamental metals, and site utilities (sewer, storm & water), as well as vehicle gate repairs and replacements. Work will be delivered via Job Order Contracting (JOC) and occurring at UCLA On-Campus Housing and Off-Campus University Apartments Facilities as well as the UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge. A list of University buildings applicable to this scope is contained in the bidding documents. Work applicable to this contract includes without limitation: New Installations, repairs, and corrective work to hardscape and paving, astroturf, site utilities, existing vehicle gates and fencing which includes chain-link fencing including chain-link, mesh, decorative metal security fences, posts, footings, both pedestrian and vehicle gates, and accessories. Accessories include ADA truncated domes, incidental signage, incidental landscape, gate and fence closing mechanisms, screening materials (fabric & perforated metal), locking, latching and drop rod systems on gates, metal post finials, tension bands, stretcher bars, truss rods, exit devices, provisions for master keying, and barbed wiring. Individual Job Orders will be valued between $2,500.00 and $300,000.00. The Job Order Contract will have a Maximum Contract Value of $1,000,000.00 for the 1-year Base Term, and $1,000,000.00 for each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by the University.
