The project would renovate and reconfigure space to be vacated on the B1 level of the 200 Medical Building (MP200) into imaging and support areas to accommodate the installation of four new nuclear medicine equipment units. ??The project area, totaling approximately 2,544 gross square feet (gsf) (1,812 assignable square feet [asf]), currently comprises Office Rooms B114-38, B114-43, 8114-47, B114-51, B114-53, 8114-55, B114-59, B114-61, B114-65, B114-69, and B114-71; Conference Room B114-42; Restroom B114-39; Corridors B114-40CD, B114-5000, and B114-60C0; and a portion of Corridor B114-30CO. ??The renovated space would provide new patient treatment areas, including imaging, equipment, and control rooms, totaling approximately 2,207 asf (an increase of 395 asf over the current floor plan). The scope of work includes interior demolition; the construction of new interior partitions; installation of new doors, flooring, ceilings, and wall finishes; new casework, lighting, and plumbing fixtures, structural strengthening and ERMent anenorage, modifications to the fire alarm, fire sprinkler, nurse call, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to accommodate the new program; installation of lead shielding, signage, and data conduit and cabling for communications and security systems connectivity; and testing and commissioning of all new equipment components ??The nuclear medicine equipment would be procured separately (the project includes the installation of furnished equipment). ??Networking equipment will be installed in Prep Office B114-22. ??Make-ready work, including relocation of a team of nuclear medicine physicians and research staff to adjacent offices (formerly occupied by the UCLA Health Facilities Department), will be completed as a separate, stand-alone project. ??Waterproofing of the planten area above the project location, which has been prone to water leakage, will also be completed as a separate project prior to the start of construction for this project. |
