SMUMC MNP HCAI NPC4 Seismic Upgrades

This project will evaluate existing building conditions, identify and document non-compliant components, and complete the required upgrades to medical equipment anchorages and to retrofit building systems, including utility lines, ducts, ceilings, lighting, and elevator guide rails. To comply with the required Nonstructural Performance Category standards, the UCLA Health Facilities Department proposes to retrofit approximately 49,800 gross square feet within the Basement, Level A, First Floor, Third Floor, and Penthouse of the Merle Norman Pavilion at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center to improve the building from an NPC-2 to NPC-4 rating.
