The University plans to renovate rooms 78-099, 78-099A, 78-099B, 78-099C, 78-109, and 78-113, located on the seventh floor of the Brain Research Institute (BRI) building, to create a multiuse laboratory. The approximately 1,186 gsf (1,078 asf) space to be remodeled would include a wet lab, two behavioral rooms, an animal microscope room, a staff computer lab, and an administrative office to accommodate a new faculty member. Construction to be conducted during regular business hours in an occupied building. The scope of work includes interior demolition; new interior walls; new flooring, ceiling, and wall finishes; new duct work and electrical and plumbing systems to support the new program; and new lab and office furniture. Hazardous material abatement is required. Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids from prequalified bidders for a Job Order Contract are invited for the following work:
The University seeks to hire a roofing contractor to perform roofing and roofing related construction work that will be delivered by Job Order Contracting (JOC) and occurring at UCLA On-Campus Housing and Off-Campus University Apartments Facilities. A list of the University buildings applicable to this scope is contained in the bidding documents. Work applicable to this contract consists of conducting annual roof preventive maintenance work, complete replacement, and other roof-related construction work required by the University. Specific work shall include but not be limited to: demolition of roofing; removal of roofing materials containing asbestos; capping and flashing at pipes, parapets and scuppers using all known metals (galvanized, copper, etc.); new/repair of gutters and downspouts; new/repair of roof drains (at interior of roofs and in parapets); new/re-roof asphalt shingle; new/re-roof clay or concrete tile; new/re-roof asphalt built-up, new/re-roof modified bitumen; new/re-roof single ply; new/re-roof TPO, PVC, (EPDM) rubber; roof drainage/roof re-pitching; roof coatings; skylights; curbs; storm damage repair; ventilation/ridge vents; ability to work on pitched and flat roofs; new/re-insulation; new/repair/replacement of substrates, membranes, adhesives. Sarnafil Roofing System work shall be completed by a certified Sika Sarnafil Contractor. Excluded from the roofing scope shall be roofing work that is combined with other trades in a single project. Individual Job Orders will be valued between $5,000.00 and $750,000.00. The Job Order Contract will have a Maximum Contract Value of $1,000,000.00 for the 1-year Base Term, and $1,000,000.00 during each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by University. The project consists of an upgrade to the existing software and components of the end-of-life Skidata parking equipment throughout Medical Building and Medical Plaza parking structures (MP100, 200 and 300), Jules Stein, Ronald Reagan Hospital and Luskin Conference Center and the provision of additional pay machines as well as new License Plate Recognition (LPR) at each entry and exit lane at every structure. The upgraded system shall include a camera and light with wiring in conduit set back approximately. 50’ from the existing gate arms in order to capture the license plates for faster processing upon exiting. Medical Plaza level B1 shall be re-striped (areas adjacent to MP100, 200 and 300) to integrate all parking stalls onto the same ticketing system (Skidata) with traffic reconfiguration. Unused booths where personnel were previously staffed and stationed shall be removed. The Skidata systems currently allow for operation of the parking gate arms, ticket dispensers and receivers and payment system used for parking in the project locations mentioned. The system also provides cash and credit card payments for customers visiting UCLA to ensure a smooth process entering and leaving the site. The Skidata system houses the main server for communication and transactions. Due to the high traffic use by patients, visitors and staff, all work shall be limited to nights and weekends. Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University's prequalification documents for a lump sum contract are sought from prospective prime contractor bidders (hereafter “bidders”) for the following project:
The Department of Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry (SOD) proposes to renovate and reconfigure Offices A0-121, A0-121A, A0-121B, and A2-122; Storage Rooms A0-117B and A2-122A; Restrooms A0-119A, A0-119B, and A0-119C; Vestibule A2-130; Atrium A0-119UE; Corridor A0-119 and a portion of Corridor A0-115, all located on Level A of the SOD building, to meet current operational needs. The renovation area, totaling approximately 2,505 gsf (1,223 asf), would accommodate a new dental clinic, including a reception area, open clinic space, calming and quiet treatment rooms, a sterilization room, storage, and a mechanical support room for dental equipment. A new all-gender restroom would also be provided. The SOD is a 210,189 gsf (122,243 asf) eight-story building, plus two basement levels, constructed in 1966. The project scope includes the interior demolition of existing partitions, ceilings, and floorings; installation of new partitions, ceilings, and flooring; new interior finishes; installation and anchorage of equipment; upgrades and modifications to the exterior atrium landscaping; and upgrades and modifications to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems to support the new program.
