The Project will construct a 63,000 GSF building addition to the Anderson School of Management. The new construction will comprise approximately 63,000 GSF of classroom, event space and administrative offices as well as the seismic upgrade of the 339,000 SF Parking Structure 5. The new building will have (1) 200-person classroom and (3) 90-person classrooms, a central organizing atrium, and entrances at parking structure drop off as well as the Briskin Family Plaza. The seismic upgrade will include work on all levels of the occupied parking structure as well as new foundation work for the new addition. Interior finishes will include carpet, linoleum and sheet vinyl flooring, paint and casework. The Project will provide telephone and communications connectivity conduit and cabling, cable television, and a security system at building entry doors. The scope of work will include limited building demolition, excavation and construction of new seismic sheer walls and foundation footings; new building construction including elevators, a raked floor classroom, atrium(s) event space(s) and the Admissions and Dean's suite of offices, provision of domestic water, fire water, sewer, gas, electrical, audio/visual, security and telecommunications utilities; provision of paving, landscaping, irrigation, site drainage, parking structure waterproofing, a complete lighting plan; signage and graphics package; and installation of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. Additional work includes code review, waterproofing detailing and acoustic studies, daylighting, energy modeling and LEED certification.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a Unit Price Job Order ("UPJO") contract are invited for the following work:

The University seeks to hire a contractor to perform heating ventilation and air conditioning construction work on an "as needed" basis that will be delivered by Unit Price Job Order (UPJO), and occurring on the UCLA Westwood campus as well as off-campus facilities owned by the University. As described in more detail in the Bidding Documents, work under the UPJO will be limited to the following:

Heating ventilation and air conditioning construction work related to Minor Improvement Projects as well as work which includes repairs of, or alterations to, buildings, structures, or facilities to continue their usability at the designed level of service. Each Job Order shall have at least 51% of the work within the advertised license classification specified herein. Work outside said license classification may be self-performed by Contractor when said work is considered incidental and supplemental to the performance of the work in the craft for which the specialty contractor is licensed and is essential to the accomplishment of the work in which the contractor is classified. In such cases, the value of said incidental and supplemental work shall not exceed 5% of the Job Order Sum.

If the work outside the Contractor’s license classification exceeds 5% of the Job Order Sum, then Contractor must either hold the appropriate additional specialty license classification or subcontract the work to an appropriately licensed subcontractor. Refer to Exhibit 21 of the bidding documents for work excluded from this UPJO.

The total combined cost for all Job Orders issued will not exceed the Maximum Contract Value of $4,000,000.00 during the 1-year Base Term and $4,000,000.00 during each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by University. When the work of a job consists only of the trade of this UPJO, the cost of any individual Job Order Authorization will be from $50,000.00 to $500,000.00. When the work of a job consists of multiple trades, the cost of any individual Job Order Authorization for this UPJO will be from $500.00 to $500,000.00.

The scope primarily consists of providing new reception desks (consisting of laminate, solid surface and stone materials) and interior finishes at (5) separate clinic locations within the UCLA 200 Medical Plaza building. Contractor shall provide new flooring, wall materials, furniture, casework and lighting. Provide new electrical and data as required for new casework. HVAC upgrades are not part of the Project in this area, and all data cabling will be performed by separate contractors. As clinics will remain operational during construction, Work shall be performed in off-hours as specified in the bidding documents. Contractor shall create construction barriers as necessary to perform work. When updating waiting areas, Contractor shall provide temporary power and data to temporary reception locations specified by University’s Representative. Contractor shall identify separate temporary seating areas at site as needed during construction.

The Project will construct a 9,990SF new custom prefabricated modular relocatable building located in Parking Lot 36 at the south/east corner of Kinross Avenue and Veteran Avenue for use as a graduate student fitness center. The Project shall provide fitness space for cardio, stretching and strength activities, a reception area, lounge, locker rooms, office and storage. Work shall include, without limitation, the provision of: utilities and piping; fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems; ductwork and mechanical controls; provision of power, communications connectivity, security, conduit and cabling for telephone/data and audio/visual systems; and landscape improvements. Interior finishes shall include, without limitation: sport surface flooring; full-height mirrors; acoustical treatments; suspended ceilings; specialty lighting; paint; casework; entry control gating; lockers; wall graphics; and signage. Work on the exterior of the building shall include, without limitation: development of a fitness patio in an open area on the side of the building. The fitness patio shall be covered by a canopy. Additional work shall include, without limitation: energy modeling. Group 2 and 3 fitness equipment, audiovisual equipment, and furniture shall be furnished and installed by University.
