Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a Unit Price Job Order ("UPJO") contract are invited for the following work:

The University is seeking to hire a contractor to perform drywall and framing construction work on an "as needed" basis that will be delivered by Unit Price Job Order (UPJO) and occurring on the UCLA Westwood campus as well as off-campus facilities owned by the University. As described in more detail in the Bidding Documents, work under the UPJO shall be limited to the following:

Drywall and framing construction work related to Minor Improvement Projects as well as work which includes repairs of, or alterations to, buildings, structures, or facilities to continue their usability at the designed level of service. Each Job Order shall have at least 51% of the work within the advertised license classification specified herein. Work outside said license classification may be self-performed by Contractor when said work is considered incidental and supplemental to the performance of the work in the craft for which the specialty contractor is licensed and is essential to the accomplishment of the work in which the contractor is classified. In such cases, the value of said incidental and supplemental work shall not exceed 5% of the Job Order Sum.

If the work outside the Contractor’s license classification exceeds 5% of the Job Order Sum, then Contractor must either hold the appropriate additional specialty license classification or subcontract the work to an appropriately licensed subcontractor. Refer to Exhibit 21 of the bidding documents for work excluded from this UPJO.

The total combined cost for all Job Orders issued will not exceed the Maximum Contract Value of $3,000,000.00 during the 1-year Base Term and $3,000,000.00 during each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by University. When the work of a job consists only of the trade of this UPJO, the cost of any individual Job Order Authorization will be from $50,000.00 to $500,000.00. When the work of a job consists of multiple trades, the cost of any individual Job Order Authorization for this UPJO will be from $1,000.00 to $500,000.00.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University's prequalification documents for a CM at Risk contract (on which the University may utilize Best Value Selection methodology) are sought from prospective CM/Contractor bidders (hereafter “bidders”) for the following project:

The 75,000 gsf, 3-level Kinross Building shall be renovated to accommodate the proposed Geffen Academy at UCLA. The renovated building shall include classrooms, an assembly space, office space for faculty and administrators, indoor athletic space, and building support space. An existing exterior area on the east side of the building shall be utilized for outdoor arts programs.

Interior renovation work shall involve reconfiguration of non-load bearing walls; replacement of lighting, finishes, and fixtures; and upgrades to building systems to accommodate the program. Some limited hazardous materials abatement may be required. Site work shall include: reorientation of the main entrance from the north side of the building to the west side; creation of a vehicular circulation route for queueing and pick-up/drop-off locations adjacent to the building; and installation of fencing to secure the site for use as a school. Landscaping, lighting, and related site improvements shall be provided.

Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEP) Design/Build: Bidders will be required to obtain MEP design/build bids from subcontractors in the MEP trades as part of the initial bidding process.

This project will achieve LEED certification at a minimum level of Silver. Construction shall be phased to allow partial occupancy for the fall of 2017. Construction is anticipated to complete by late 2018. Off hours work will be required.

Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, responses to the University's prequalification documents for a Combined Bid, lump sum contract are sought from prospective Concrete Subcontractors for the following work:

1. Overall Description:

CHS SEISMIC CORRECTION AND FIRE SAFETY:

Seismic and Fire Life Safety corrections to the 7 level Southeast Wing, 7 level School of Medicine East/Vivarium, and the 7 level Biomedical Library in the Center for the Health Sciences (CHS). Seismic correction work includes selective structural strengthening including Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) wrapping of structural elements, cast in place concrete and exterior and interior shotcrete shear walls. Fire Life Safety correction work includes both Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm work upgrades. Fire Suppression work includes a new fire-main sprinkler loop expansion and new vertical wet standpipes. Fire alarm work includes the infrastructure for a new replacement fire alarm system.

The scope of work to complete the seismic corrections and non-structural upgrades will include the removal, replacement and repair of building systems, elements, and finishes obstructing the proposed work. Additional work includes the abatement of hazardous materials, exterior brick and masonry repair, and code upgrades to existing door hardware, and toilet facilities. The buildings will remain occupied and operational during construction and require the coordination and staging of occupants. All work will be sequenced and phased and all work will be performed off-hours.

The Anticipated Contract Value of this project is: $40,000,000.00

CHS – SOM WEST SEISMIC RENOVATION:

Seismic and Fire/life safety corrections to the School of Medicine West (SOM-W), Brain Research Institute and REED buildings and subterranean levels in the Center for the Health Sciences (CHS). Seismic correction work includes selective structural strengthening including Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) wrapping of structural elements, cast in place concrete and interior shotcrete.

Fire Life Safety correction work includes both Fire Suppression and Fire Alarm work upgrades. Fire Suppression work includes an expansion of the existing fire-main sprinkler loop and new vertical wet standpipes within the REED building. The work will also include the resupply to the existing lower levels within CHS from the main fire loop located on the first floor. Additionally, the existing fire main loop will be interconnected between the Semel Institute and CHS South Tower along the 1st floor bridge. Fire alarm work includes the infrastructure and backbone for a new replacement fire alarm system, within the subterranean levels of the CHS complex, School of Medicine West, REED and Brain Research Institute.

Additional work includes relocation of existing utilities obstructing seismic correction work; tenant improvements, accessibility upgrades to toilet facilities, drinking fountains, doors and hardware; signage, control panels and handrails. Selective demolition of walls, ceilings and floor finishes to accommodate the structural repair will be required in addition to the restoration and installation of new interior finishes.

The buildings will remain occupied and operational during construction and require the coordination and staging of occupants. All work will be sequenced and phased and all work will be performed off-hours.

The Anticipated Contract Value of this project is: $20,000,000.00

2. Bid Package 3 – Concrete Description: Concrete Bid Package includes all labor, material and equipment including all formwork, drilling and epoxy of rebar, all concrete and placement of concrete for all cast-in-place concrete. Additional work includes seismic bolting of precast parapet; grouting of existing concrete beams at expansion joints; all excavation of underside of slab on grade to top of footing as required by the work; export of all spoils, and provision of scaffolding for all concrete, rebar and shotcrete work.
